HISTORY OF HCCIT

Summer of 1997, it was the limelight of the foreseen transfer of the regional government offices from Cotabato City of Koronadal City that makes Mr. H. Agan decides to construct a 3-storey building along the highway of Gensan Drive, City of Koronadal in preparation for upcoming migration of regional offices. The said building is intended for lease for the upcoming government offices from Cotabato City. Unfortunately the said gossip was not materialized. It was on the 3rd quarter of 2001 when the Agan family decided to divert the said building into a school whose courses being offered is under TESDA.

August 9, 2002 is the first day of operation of the school. It was a little bit late compared to the regular opening classes. It carries the name "COLEGIO de PARAISO, INC.", which eventually makes the family the automatic incorporators of the corporation. The school is a non-stock corporation. The school starts its classes with a 6 students and with the approval of the incorporators the school fee of the 6 students is only 1,000.00 pesos each for every semester until they finished their course.

On the second semester of school year 2002-2003, the enrollees of the school were doubled on its number. From the 6 students, it became 36 students. From 36 it became 156 students upon the opening of the school year 2003-2004.

On the school year 2003-2004, the Agan family opens the per-school and elementary school in Surallah, South Cotabato. The school carries the name "HOLY CHILD INSTITUTE OF SURALLAH, INC.". The school is situated along the Allah Valley Drive, Surallah. On that school year, the school was granted by the Dep-Ed the permit to operate its pre-school and elementary, grades 1 to 4.

Seeing the opportunities in Surallah, the incorporators decided to expand the college school in Surallah offering also the TESDA courses. The school administrator immediately processes the necessary permit to operate and by the summer of school year 2004-2005, the college is now ready to operate. On the same school year, the name
"COLLEGIO de PARAISO, INC." was changed into "HOLY CHILD COLLEGE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, INC." The HCCIT-Surallah Campus has a starting enrollee of 46 students upon its inception.

By the second semester of school year 2005-2006, the "ISMTMI" or "INTERNATIONAL SPIRITUAL AND MATERIAL THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE, INC.", an affiliate school of HOLY CHILD opens its school in the area of HOLY CHILD which eventually turns out to be a school within a school. This school offers the course “Philippine New Life Therapeutic Massage”. This therapeutic massage gathers an enrollee of 5 students.

Summer of school year 2005-2006, “HOLY CHILD COLLEGE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, INC.” thus making the prep and elementary became the basic education department of HCCIT. On that same summer, the HCCIT Surallah Campus was turned into main campus of HOLY CHILD. Also on that same summer, HCCIT try its luck by applying a Bachelors Degree Program in CHED or Commission on Higher Education. The degree program is the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology-ladderized course.

Eventually HCCIT was granted a permit to operate by CHED for the degree program of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Its first year of operation for the BS Program started on the school year 2008-2009. The school gathered an enrollee of 118 students. On that same school year also, the incorporators decided to franchise the “ISMTMI” thus making the HCCIT the solely school in South Cotabato who offers the massage course.
